Bardavon presents philharmonic

WHAT: “Spontaneous Brubeck”

WHEN: Tonight at 8 p.m.

WHERE: Bardavon Opera House, 35 Market St., Poughkeepsie

DETAILS: The Bardavon will continue the 50th anniversary season of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic with a program “Spontaneous Brubeck” featuring violinist Nicolas Kendall, a new concerto by Chris Brubeck.

Philly trip features works of Cezanne

WHAT: Arts trip to Cezanne and Rodin at Philadelphia Museum

WHEN: May 17 from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: departing Unison Arts and Learning Center, 68 Mountain Rest Road, New Paltz

DETAILS: Unison is offering a trip to the Paul Cezanne exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum led by Linda Gold. Optional bus transportation will be provided to anyone wishing to see the nearby Rodin Museum. Checks must be made payable to Unison Arts Center.

DETAILS: The American Association of University Women have planned several bus trips for the summer. June 7 trip to Brooklyn Museum to see special exhibits and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Jazz and Roses; July 11, Tanglewood open rehearsal and Jacob’s Pillow afternoon performance of Gallim Dance; July 28, Cooperstown and Glimmerglass, La Traviata by Verdi; Aug. 12, Boscobel to see the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.
