Lindsey Mae’s catchy pop songs really good, well-written

ARTIST: Lindsey Mae

ALBUM: Lindsey Mae

IT'S BEEN so long we can barely remember it, but Ballston Spa songbird Lindsey Mae actually sings catchy pop songs that aren’t blatantly, pragmatically contrived to, but instead, they’re just really good, well-written songs.

Produced by Hal Cragin, this collection kicks off with the soothing “Cable Car” as acoustic guitars and pianos swirl around her captivating voice, which holds an enticing ache. “Vitals” is far more anxious, about fighting and smoking cigarettes, with a powerful, driving chorus. “Paper Mache” just sashays and sways. while “The Way You” is a gorgeous allegory of a new love.

Lindsey Mae plays a lot on the east coast, and it’s quietly building a fan base the old-school way: one fan at a time. With this release, she’ll no doubt get many more.
