Ulster County Jail inmate charged with assault

Nashon Simmons, 17, of Lake Katrine and an inmate at the Ulster County Jail was charged with felony assault on Saturday by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Detectives.

Simmons, who was jailed on a robbery charge, is accused of causing minor physical injury to another inmate’s face. Simmons will face arraignment in city of Kingston court at a later date. The other inmate was treated by medical staff at the jail for his injuries and has not been charged in the incident.
