SHAWANGUNK, N.Y. — A 67-year-old Wallkill man was injured Tuesday when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road into drainage ditch, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
Vaughn Hostovich was pulled from his 2010 Hyundai by rescue workers at about 2:27 a.m. along Strawridge Road, deputies said.
Hostovich complained of minor bleeding to his face and pain in his back and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie for treatment.
Deputies said Hostovich was driving east along Strawridge Road when his vehicle crossed the roadway and went into a drainage ditch. Extrication tools were used to pull him from the vehicle, deputies said.
Deputies said it appeared that fatigue contributed to the accident.
