“WATER,” a regional juried art exhibit, opens tonight with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Muroff Kotler Visual Arts Gallery at Ulster County Community College, 491 Cottekill Road, Stone Ridge.

The show continues through April 13.

Local artist Portia Munson judged the show.  A local painter, photographer and installation artist,  Munson is best known for her “Pink Projects,” made up of thousands of pink plastic objects that explore “the marketing of femininity” and for her large flower prints, scanned configurations of flowers collected from her garden.

The Muroff Kotler Visual Arts Gallery is located in Vanderlyn Hall on the Stone Ridge campus.

The gallery is open Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and by appointment. It is closed on college holidays.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
