Baruch spikes SUNY New Paltz in men's volleyball

NEW YORK — Baruch College had four players with at least eight kills Wednesday night during a 25-20, 25-23, 25-19 victory over SUNY New Paltz in non-conference men’s volleyball.

The Hawks hit at a .227 clip while improving to 13-7.

Top performers were Nick Smith (nine kills, eight digs, four blocks), Jack McKee (nine kills), Vincent Cruz (eight kills, three aces), Christopher Kaimis (eight kills) and Danny Olson (35 assists).

The Hawks (12-5) were led by Van Tyne (10 kills), Misa Garo (32 assists), Brian O’Connor (five blocks, two aces) and Michael Dauernheim (five digs).

New Paltz plays 7 p.m. Wednesday at Vassar in a United Volleyball Conference match.
