TOWN OF MARBLETOWN, N.Y. — A fire early Saturday on North Marbletown Road destroyed a barn and a pickup truck, according to the Marbletown fire chief.
Russell Van Sickle said the fire started about 2:10 a.m. in a 20-by-25-foot barn at 550 North Marbletown Road and spread to a Nissan pickup.
The barn and truck were owned by Ken Krabbenhoft, Van Sickle said.
The chief said the fire was out within 30 minutes, but firefighters remained on the scene until about 6 a.m.
He said there were no injuries and that firefighters were able to stop the blaze from spreading to a house on the property.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
