Rhinebeck crash kills woman, leaves two men injured
RHINEBECK, N.Y.— A woman was killed and two men were injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday on state Route 9G just south of Slate Quarry Road, according to the Rhinebeck Fire Department.
The identities of the people in the vehicle were not available and authorities with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office could not be reached for comment Monday.
Henry Campbell, the information officer for the Rhinebeck Fire Department, said the accident occurred at 3:29 p.m. He said the vehicle reportedly rolled over a guardrail, struck a tree and rolled back upright off the road in a wooded area.
The three occupants were reportedly from one family, Campbell said. He said he was told that a mother, father and son were in the vehicle and that it was the son who was driving when the accident occurred.
The Rhinebeck Fire Department was on the scene, along with the Hillside Fire Department and Northern Dutchess Paramedics EMS, Campbell said.
