The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
KINGSTON
• Resisting arrest: Randolph J. Brunson, 28, of 317 East 4th St., Mount Vernon, was arrested by Kingston city police Sunday at 3:41 a.m. at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 426 Foxhall Ave., and charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a violation. Police said Brunson was causing a disturbance and threatening to harm others. They said when he was arrested for disorderly conduct, he began struggling with officers and tried to avoid being handcuffed and put in the patrol car. At the police station, Brunson then refused to be processed for the arrest. He was being held for arraignment.
TOWN OF ULSTER
• Shoplifting: Jake Freedman, 23, of 35 S. Chestnut St., New Paltz, was arrested by Ulster town police on Sunday at Wal-Mart at 601 Frank Sottile Boulevard, and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said he left the store without paying for computer flash drives worth $59.76. Freedman was released on a court appearance ticket.
OLIVE
• DWI: Christina A. Sheridan, 46, Little Neck, was arrested by state police at Ulster on Bonnie Brae Road and state Route 28 and charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, misdemeanors. No further details were provided.
ROSENDALE
• Drugs: Michael A. Romeo, 25, of 12 Beach Lane, High Falls, was arrested by Rosendale town police July 2 at 8:50 p.m. on Lucas Avenue and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and a traffic violation. He was arraigned in Marbletown Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jain in lieu of $5,000 bail.
