The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

CITY OF KINGSTON

Aggravated unlicensed operation: Walter Daniels, 61, of New Paltz, was arrested by Kingston police at 5:53 a.m. Monday and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony; drunken driving, aggravated drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 percent, all misdemeanors; and unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving on the sidewalk, all infractions. Police said a witness reported that a car struck a utility pole on Greenkill Avenue at Prospect Street and fled the scene. Police said they found the car, a 1998 Volvo with extensive damage, in a parking lot in Rosendale. Daniels was being held for arraignment in Kingston City Court.

Hypodermic instrument: Takoda J. Sanchez, 23, of Kingston, was arrested by Kingston police at 6:27 p.m. Sunday and charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. Police said during a traffic stop for vehicle and traffic violations, they found “numerous hypodermic needles” in the engine compartment of the car. Sanchez was released with a court appearance ticket.

HURLEY

Weapons possession: David T. Dubord, 55, of Marbletown, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:18 a.m. Sunday and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released with a court appearance ticket.

LLOYD

Drugs: William P. Mesuda, 58, of Highland, was arrested by Lloyd town police Friday and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released with a court appearance ticket.

Drugs: Roger M. Chirico, 31, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Lloyd town police Aug. 14 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released with a court appearance ticket.

MARLBOROUGH Continued...

Obstructing: Walter C. Dyer, 72, of Marlborough, was arrested by state police at Gardiner at 5:35 p.m. Sunday at 507 Lattintown Road and charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors; disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment, violations. He was released on a court appearance ticket.

TOWN OF ROCHESTER

Criminal contempt: Spencer M. Santosky, 33, of Accord, was arrested by state police at Ellenville at 10:20 a.m. Sunday at 6721 U.S. Route 209 and charged with criminal contempt, a felony. He was released on his own recognizance.

ROSENDALE

Resisting arrest: Kirk H. Aengenheyster, 36, of 155 Pancake Hollow Road, Highland, was arrested by Rosendale town police at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Sawdust Avenue and was charged with obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors; disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana, violations; and failure to keep right and refusing to take a breath test, both infractions. Aengenheyster was arraigned in Rosendale Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
