The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

NEW PALTZ

• Drugs: Stephan E. Cantave, 27, Haverstraw, was arrested by state police at Gardiner Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on Johns Street and North Manheim and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance; possession of a hypodermic instrument and aggravated unlicensed operation, also misdemeanors; and a controlled substance in nonoriginal container, a violation. No further details were provided.

ROSENDALE

• Resisting arrest: Halle A. Kananack, 34, of 111Horsenden Road, New Paltz, was arrested by Rosendale town police Nov. 3 at 12:57 a.m. on state Route 32 and charged with resisting arrest and aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors; unlawful possession of marijuana, speed in zone, unlicensed operator and fail to notify department of motor vehicle of address change, violations. She was released on court appearance  tickets.

• DWI: Sean E. Dennis, 23, of 17 Old Farm Road, Napanoch, was arrested by Rosendale town police Nov. 9 at 9:27 p.m. on Lucas Avenue and charged with drunken driving, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 of 1 percent and aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors; failing to stop at a stop sign, dazzling headlights and unlicensed operator, infractions. He was released on a court appearance ticket.

• DWI: Dennis L. Angele Jr., 27, of 35 Bonticou View Drive, New Paltz, was arrested by Rosendale town police Saturday at 12:57 a.m. on state Route 32 and charged with felony drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 of 1 percent with a previous drunken driving conviction, also a felony; and speed in zone, an infraction. He was arraigned in Rosendale Town Court and released on appearance tickets.
