Red Hook standout highlights All-State girls soccer selections

KINGSTON, N.Y. — Red Hook High’s Caitlin Swanson highlighted a half dozen Mid-Hudson Athletic League girls soccer players that were named to the All-New York State list.

Swanson, a senior midfielder, was named to the Class A fifth squad, as selected by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

Spackenkill had a trio of players make the All-State team in Class B, with senior midfielder Amy Moran making the second team; senior forward Rachel Davis earning a spot on the fourth team; and senior midfielder Sarah Glassberg making the fifth team.

Rounding the MHAL players were Millbrook senior defenders Annie Whalen (fourth team) and Kyla Karten (fifth team).
