Male Athlete of the Week: Austin Weigel, Onteora High (video)

Austin Weigel became the latest scholastic wrestler to collect his 100th career victory.

The Onteora High senior, who is now 22-0 on the season, got his milestone in the quarterfinals of the 160-pound division at the Mid-Hudson Wrestling Tournament.

Weigel late pinned Arlington’s Mike Peterson in four minutes, 32 seconds to win the weight-class championships.

He also was claimed the all-pins title, taking all seven of his bouts at the tourney by fall.
