TOWN OF LLOYD, N.Y. — Two Port Ewen residents were arrested on drug charges Wednesday during a traffic stop by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) in the town of Lloyd.
Police said Joshua P. Sickler, 33, of 169 Main St., Port Ewen, and Lisa M. Shapiro, 28, of the same address, were both arrested after officers found 17 grams of cocaine in their car during the stop on U.S. Route 9W.
Shapiro was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy, both felonies. Sickler was charged with felony conspiracy and a number of probation violations.
Both were arraigned in Town of Lloyd Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail — Shapiro on $1,000/$2,000 bail and Sickler without bail.
