Family Services to present awards
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Millbrook residents Wayne and Brigid Nussbickel and the Page family and Page Park Associates of Dutchess County will be honored as Family Services’ 2013 Families of the Year for service to their community, according to Family Services Chief Executive Officer Brian Doyle.
The Family of the Year dinner will be held April 25 at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie.
The event is held annually to honor families whose service to the community exemplifies the values of Family Services.
The Nussbickels will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Page family and Page Park Associates will receive the Spirit of the Future Award.

Local economies topic in Saugerties
SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — Sustainable Saugerties will present a panel discussion with interactive audience discussion called “Revisioning Local Economies” on March 14.
The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Saugerties Performing Arts Factory, 169 Ulster Ave.
It will feature the panel discussion as well as a networking opportunity with a cash bar and live music from 8:30 to 10 p.m.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
Topics to be discussed include how local independent businesses are the model for economic development and how local economic development can be integrated into wider community development plans.

Bridge board meets today
